Editing Dichroic Pendant Pics

So i haven't actually tested my new kiln here yet. I have been trying to set up the home studio first and get all things together. I just recently purchased a transformer to plug in the 110V kiln which I am officially going to introduce in one of my next posts...so no picture of "her" quite yet.

Tomorrow will be the first day that I will be creating "new" glass pendants....I plan on firing them sometime within the week...possibly wed or thursday. I will need to make around 12-15 pieces for a batch of firing. Of course since it is my first firing here, it will need to be somewhat of a test fire because I am not quite sure if the firing sched will be the same as I did in Colorado where I learned to use my kiln.

As for now, I still have a bunch of my finished pendants to post. So I have been trying to take pictures of them that I can post in my website and facebook pages. Although I do like how the photos came out, it still is missing something. I mean if you look at my pendants in real life, they seem to pop with color and glow and sparkle....how do i capture that digitally?

Well, maybe with practice.... what do you think of these so far...

I gave each of them a name since each one will be a one of a kind piece...

Here is...

"FINDING THE WAY"
includes your choice of gold plated chain or matted black satin cord

"SMOKESCREEN"
PHP1,205
(US$26)
includes your choice of silver plated chain or matted black satin cord

"LIQUID GOLD FUSE"
PHP1,480
(US$32)
includes your choice of gold plated chain or matted black satin cord

"EMOTIONS A GLOW"
PHP1,575
(US$34)
includes your choice of silver plated chain or matted black satin cord

Those are the few that I have edited so far. When you look at these pendants, there are particular ones that call out to you because of their colors or the way they light gives them a certain glow....and sometime it calls out to how you feel ...almost like bottled up emotions that you can see and wear and only you can understand....that's what I think about these pendants....

More to come in the next few days.....

Meanwhile....please visit my facebook page and you can see the pendants there too...here is the link...

Lovely Vintage Style Necklaces

Its the end of the week again and I'm looking over my to-do list for the week...and it seems there's just always not enough time to finish everything. I have yet to go to my supplier for resin...but i decided to go there tomorrow! I can't let another week pass without putting them in my shop...I mean there's soo much you can do with resin...its quite exciting....

One of my friends, Melody of Crafting Time used my Vintage Waterhouse Women Digital Collage Sheets (find them here) and created these four lovely necklaces....

I really love the earthly plus vintage feel to these pieces....
Melody is an amazing polymer clay artist and sometimes she also incorporates resin in her works. She and her mom work together to make such beautiful, one of a kind pieces.  You can check out her fan page - CRAFTING TIME

Thanks for the pictures, Lody :-)

Tending to the Ponies...

I've been busy with the Baby Blue Bell Ponies...pendants that I am making...

Here the pendants with the plain black settings..have yet to place the beads on top...

I made a few that have simple design settings with a gold sheen...

And these ones have the charm beads on top already...
Special thanks again to Baby Blue Bell of deviant art for the pony images!

I also made a floral glass cabochon pendant and set it in a bezel with bead dangles...

Today I decided to take a break from the ponies because I missed making appliques...so I took out some pretty colors and started to make this...

Into this...

It's ready for baking!!! Now back to tending ponies...

That's all for now, have a great day!

Cameo Trio and Some Digital Collage Sheets

If you're here to see my Bead Soup Creation
you can find my entry here-

Busy as a bee working on my pieces for the Christmas bazaar...here are my latest cameos.
Three of them...

Sometime mid week though, I lost my 'mojo' for some reason and my hands refused to create another thing. I'm not one to do nothing though so, I decided to work on something else. Digital collage sheets. I really wanted to start building my collection. Here are my two latest ones...

That's all for now..Have a great day!

Welcome To Bead Soup Party Sept 2011

Welcome to the September 2011 Bead Soup Party

What is a bead soup party anyway? Well, Lori of Pretty Things Blog organized this great event. We signed up and we were paired up. Each pair sends the other a focal bead, a pretty clasp and matching beads. And then that's when we start creating.

Today is reveal day! Join us in this party by stopping by the blogs listed below. Do leave a comment! I'd love to meet you and hear from you! Enjoy...

My bead soup partner is Noemi Baena of Creaciones Noemi Baena Blog. She is from Spain and makes beautiful sterling silver jewelry (check out her etsy shop - here).  Here are the indgredients for the bead soup she sent...

And now for the big reveal...
I made several things from my soup...first a necklace with the focal bead...
I mixed different shape beads..a square focal..a circular brass component.. an elongated oval clay bead with flowers that I hand made...and a dangling heart charm...I love the colors and I really love how it looks when its worn...

Next, for the clasp...I made another necklace. The pendant is one of my own creations out of polymer clay...
Sweet! I also used the pretty heart crystals, sterling silver beads and violet swarovski crystals that were part of the matching beads sent to me.

There were a lot of pretty matching beads left over, so I created this....
a charm necklace with my own polymer clay pendant. The swarovskis definitely makes this one look extra classy!

Finally, my favorite one..a charm bracelet with a polymer clay centerpiece.

One of my most favorite things to make are charm bracelets...and i think this one I truly love!

I still have a few more beads left over and I'm planning something special for those too! Thanks so much Noemi! And super thanks to Lori! Great Job on another amazing blog party! I'm off to visit the others. Oh and if you're interested to join the next one...find out more

Here's the bead soup I sent my partner...

Committed....One a Day...

I promised myself to make at least one piece a day in order to stock up for upcoming bazaars..here's what I have for today...
There's something really relaxing about making these styles of pendants. Although, you have to have a really steady hand to roll out and place all the little petals without squishing ones that are already placed, some how, the concentration needed to focus on the little piece soothes me. All others thoughts that cloud up my mind suddenly melts away and what's left is my creation in front of me....

And finally, when it's all done...I have this...

Delicate and sweet...each little petal laid down carefully in each position to create a little work of art...
Done for my quota for today...

That's all for now...Have a great day!
