Cameo Trio and Some Digital Collage Sheets

If you're here to see my Bead Soup Creation
you can find my entry here-

Busy as a bee working on my pieces for the Christmas bazaar...here are my latest cameos.
Three of them...

Sometime mid week though, I lost my 'mojo' for some reason and my hands refused to create another thing. I'm not one to do nothing though so, I decided to work on something else. Digital collage sheets. I really wanted to start building my collection. Here are my two latest ones...

That's all for now..Have a great day!

Welcome To Bead Soup Party Sept 2011

Welcome to the September 2011 Bead Soup Party

What is a bead soup party anyway? Well, Lori of Pretty Things Blog organized this great event. We signed up and we were paired up. Each pair sends the other a focal bead, a pretty clasp and matching beads. And then that's when we start creating.

Today is reveal day! Join us in this party by stopping by the blogs listed below. Do leave a comment! I'd love to meet you and hear from you! Enjoy...

My bead soup partner is Noemi Baena of Creaciones Noemi Baena Blog. She is from Spain and makes beautiful sterling silver jewelry (check out her etsy shop - here).  Here are the indgredients for the bead soup she sent...

And now for the big reveal...
I made several things from my soup...first a necklace with the focal bead...
I mixed different shape beads..a square focal..a circular brass component.. an elongated oval clay bead with flowers that I hand made...and a dangling heart charm...I love the colors and I really love how it looks when its worn...

Next, for the clasp...I made another necklace. The pendant is one of my own creations out of polymer clay...
Sweet! I also used the pretty heart crystals, sterling silver beads and violet swarovski crystals that were part of the matching beads sent to me.

There were a lot of pretty matching beads left over, so I created this....
a charm necklace with my own polymer clay pendant. The swarovskis definitely makes this one look extra classy!

Finally, my favorite one..a charm bracelet with a polymer clay centerpiece.

One of my most favorite things to make are charm bracelets...and i think this one I truly love!

I still have a few more beads left over and I'm planning something special for those too! Thanks so much Noemi! And super thanks to Lori! Great Job on another amazing blog party! I'm off to visit the others. Oh and if you're interested to join the next one...find out more

Bead Soup Ingredients is Finally Here

I'm so excited because I received my bead soup ingredients today. I went to pick it up at the local post office and because I was so excited, I immediately opened the package. I took a quick peek inside and saw little packs of purple tissue wrappings. I didn't want to tear through it quite yet since I wanted to take pictures of everything. So, I rushed home...and finally...

Do many packages to open..it was like a mini Christmas day!!!

Here are my ingredients for the bead soup...

I really love the colors...purples and violets. And look, a lovely focal lampwork bead handmade by Susan Kennedy (of Sue Beads). How pretty!

Now, I need to start working on my pieces for the BEAD SOUP PARTY. I have 2 days..so for today, I have the beads on my desk next to me..and letting some ideas simmer in my head. Hopefully by tonight, I will start churning...

I  can't wait for the bead soup party! Make sure you come back on September 17th to see what I have posted. And you'll get a link of everyone that's participating in the party!

See you then!

My Bead Soup Partner Got the Package Reveal

I was so happy to get a message from my bead partner Noemi that she got the bead soup I sent her. I can finally post what I sent here on my website. I sent out the beads on August 18th and it finally arrived in Spain September 5th. The Bead Soup Party is on September 17th, so I hope that gives Noemi enough time to create.

Here are the ingredients for the bead soup that I sent...

I noticed that my partner uses a lot of silver in her jewelry..so I decided to give something a little different. I decided on a "Vintage Garden Theme" with a mixture of gold, purples, mauves and greens.

We had to send 1- a Focal .... I created this pendant with heart filigree and I sculpted little polymer clay flowers...

We also had to send a special clasp. So I made a one of a kind toggle clasp using polymer clay too!

This is how you close the clasp.

I really liked how they turned out..and was dreading parting with them. But, I knew they were going to a wonderful Jewelry Designer in Spain.. so off in the mail they went.

I also sent a few coordinating beads..some mother of pearls, crystals and butterfly charms.

I'm so excited to see Noemi's finished piece. It's quite exciting to know that the art beads I created will be used by another jewelry designer.  And I really really enjoyed coming up with the bead soup. I'm thinking of making more soup ingredients and offering it for sale in my Etsy Bead Shop. It would be awesome to see what wonderful creations people come up with from a ready made kit of beads.

Thanks Lori...I'm already having so much fun. And I know any day now, my partner's soup will arrive...and it will be time for me to create too! Make sure to stop by here on September 17th for the Bead Soup Party!

That's all for now! Have a great day!

My Bead Soup Partner

I'm so excited to be part of the Bead Soup Party. I'd like to introduce to you my partner...Noemi Baena.

Noemi is from Salamanca, Spain. You can see her elegant jewelry in her etsy shop -

I love the very elegant colors that Noemi uses like in this beautiful pair of earrings...

She uses a sterling silver and wonderful materials such as semiprecious stones, swarovski components and lampwork beads...
and would be lovely for weddings!

For her bead soup, I tried to gather something a little different for her...here is a sneak peek which also includes some of my one of a kind creations...

Since the shipping is international, it will take a bit of time before she gets it but as soon as she does, I'll reveal the beads in another blog post!

I'm looking forward to seeing what she makes from this bead soup! And excited to receive my ingredients too!

Check back here on September 17th...that's when the bead soup party begins!!!

That's all for now...Have a great day!
