HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014..GOALS FOR THE YEAR

It's a whole NEW YEAR!!! And I am thankful that Earthly Jewels Beads is going strong! I have so many things planned for the year and i hope most of it will materialize!!!

I've been going through shop policies and listing down things i want to add to the shop offerings. And now it's time to get things rolling. I am having a hard time getting back into the groove of things since the holiday break was so very long. But, now I finally have started posting and accepting orders again...

Here is the newest jewelry components i have added to the shop..5 new chandelier earring components...quite pretty and i think i'm going to try to make something out of these myself....

I've also changed my shipping schedule to 3 shipping days a week... tuesday, thursdays and saturdays! That way, my customers can get their items a bit sooner then the twice a week schedule. I think re-stocking day will be once a week...most likely on a Wednesday or possibly another day if my nephew is unavailable to stay with my fur-babies.

Re-stocking day is critical for my shop since i don't keep all items in stock. I am running my online shop here at home so i don't have a lot of space to keep everything i have on my online catalogs stocked on my shelves here at home. So I take orders and once or twice a week, i can fill those orders and send them out to my customers.I need to schedule these re-stocking days to keep my travel expenses down...so accumulating these orders really helps with that..

I've also decided to keep a strict schedule on hours....most particularly for "off" days. In the past, i worked almost 24-7...answering inquiries whenever they came in whether it was 12 midnight on a sunday or 6 am on friday morning. I didn't mind it since i liked what i was doing but, it really burned me out. I think everybody needs some time away from their work whether you have your own business or if you work in a regular office job. Your body and your mind need to have a break in order to function properly. And don't forget, you need to spend time with your family and people you love....that makes all the work worth while.

I'm hoping to finally get my website fully loaded with all of my listings and start accepting orders from there. Then there is also the etsy shops....most especially my digital supplies etsy shop which to my surprise started picking up on its own when the new year came around.

Lastly, i decided i needed to spend some creative time, time to craft for myself as well. Last year, i didn't really do that much crafting because of the things that needed to be done for the shop. I think when you craft, it brings out the creative juices. It is those juices that help me to figure out what would be great products to add to the shop.

So those are some of the things i have lined up....some general thoughts and ideas for the shop..... I hope this year will be my best year yet...

Need To Organize

I know i have a lot of new things to upload to my shop but before i can do that i need to put away some of my stocks so i can actually find stuff when i send out my bills.

So these past few days are all about counting, packing, labeling and so forth...and once i finally get all my stocks put away i can whip out the new stocks and finally upload those...

EJB REGULAR EXCLUSIVES SETTINGS

One of my biggest focuses in my products are my settings. I am happy to have quite a big variety of settings. I have settings I bought from Hong Kong...ones I imported from the USA, local ones and ones that I call EJB REGULAR EXCLUSIVES SETTINGS.

I call these settings as "REGULAR" which means...they are ALWAYS going to be available. I order these from my supplier and keep them in stock. They are EXCLUSIVE in that my supplier creates the molds especially for me and does not distribute the ready made settings.

Why would you want these regular settings? Well, a lot of my clients create special made to order pieces that are for giveaways and souvenirs or for special clients that want one of a kind pieces. The exclusive settings are great because they make pieces that are one of a kind...and since they are regular, they can keep it in their catalogs without worrying if they'll be able to order it in the future...

So here are my existing REGULAR SETTINGS...

They are available in ANTIQUE GOLD, SILVER, BLACK and RAW. Raw settings are plain, coloress (or you could say they are matte antiqued silver)

Storenvy for International Buyers

I finally am uploading items to my storenvy shop -
http://earthlyjewelsbeads.storenvy.com/

I started with the antique gold charms and i also have one of the settings already there....i still have a looooot to upload but, it's already in working order and ready to accept international orders (if what you want is already there).

I thought about listing them on etsy but, i have sooo many items that i think the listing fees would make me go bankrupt before i can get the sales going. So, i was so happy to have found storenvy. I still have my digital collage sheets on my etsy shop but all the jewelry and craft supplies will have to go here.....

I will keep adding to this until i have them all listed...so far i have these avaiable...

So, go ahead and browse...soon i will have a lot more.
Oh and here is some info on the shop -
  • I accept paypal payments...you can use your credit card through paypal.
  • The items will be shipped from the Philippines..which is in Asia. So it will take around 4-6 weeks before it gets to you..depending on what country you are from.
  • I accept wholesale orders...message me in the contact form if you are interested. Let me know your order.
  • Come back and check out the shop for updates...i plan to put a lot more charms in both silver and antique gold, Settings and bezels, jewelry findings, filigrees, acrylic beads, lucite flowers, stones and beads and sooo much more..

Come and check out the shop-

Hello Again Blog

It has been months since I've written a blog post and I really feel bad that I have neglected this blog. It has been a busy couple months and things have not slowed down yet. After the big last quarter sale i had, quite a lot of new things have come along. In October I went to Hong Kong on a purchasing trip with my sister and we sure had a great time. I've been to HK a few times already and have fallen in love with all the beads and findings they have to offer. There are pretty metal components...

Pretty filigrees...big....

medium...

and small...
I bought earring settings....(and pendant settings which i still haven't photographed)...

Ring Filigrees....

Cute charms of all sorts...

Filigree hair pins...

My almost sold out hole punchers...should've bought more of these!!!

And lastly...lovely flower beads....

Oh it sure was bead shopping heaven...and although I want to keep it all for myself...i have already uploaded a lot of the items for sale in my facebook shop here -
http://www.facebook.com/earthlyjewelsbeads?ref=tn_tnmn

Last few travels i did to HK, i stayed at guest houses..but this time I thought i'd "live it up" and stay at a better, more upscale hotel..The Rosedale Hotel...and the extra bucks spent was definitely worth it!!! And here is my little "take home gift to self" .... my newest Kokeshi/ Kimmi doll...meet Kimmi Jr "Lotti"
I try to buy a Kimmi doll everytime i go...just as a remembrance.

I also joined a bazaar and it was a blast..but more on that on my next post.

I'm hoping to be able to post more often now but that may not become a reality because its just gonna get busier with my nephew's wedding which will be in a few weeks, Christmas shopping and another bazaar in the works... well, let's see how it goes...

Hope you are all ok out there and are still around to read my blog...please do leave me your comments :-)
