Resin Demo Pieces for the Workshop

Since my last resin workshop, I've been running it over my head... rethinking and developing it more...rearranging, subtracting and adding  different concepts and demos...

I have been working on casting heart charms such as these which I plan to demo on my next workshop...

they're quite lovely...and would look great as pendants or bracelet charms or even magnets...

Then i also have the glitter hearts....which are ohhh sooo pretty!!!

and colors of the rainbow.....
So, i think the workshop attendees would love to learn these techniques...don't you?

I am quite excited for the next workshop...April 20th...i have 2 students already and I know they're going to be as addicted to creating with resin as i am...

A Successful Sale

I've been neglecting my blog lately but with good reason...I have been soo busy working on a sale at my online shop just this past week. First I had to get all my stocks in order, post the items in separate albums and on the 8th started the sale. It just recently ended on the 15th and now I am starting to pack the items for shipping because the payments are slowly rolling in and I want to get the shipments out as soon as i can...

It was a nice sale with lots of cabochons and beads...

Settings and charms were on sale up to 25% off...

Pretty flower cabochons...

and wonderfully delicious colors of these lucite florals...

And for the first time, I was able to offer some of my polished stones from my stash....

This was a hard thing for me to do as I LOVE MY POLISHED STONES...but they've been hoarded way too long and they need to be part of someone's creations. So i chose a few and practically gave them away at very low prices!!! Luckily i still have more to hoard for myself....

I actually was looking at one of my favorite blogs (La Bella Joya) and got inspired again by her wonderful creations...I've been wanting to create some bead embroidery with my stash of polished stones but never got around to it....i mean just take a look at her gorgeous necklaces....like these...

Oh so gorgeous...how i dream that one day i will have the time and the patience to make something like this! I am amazed at her work.

Anyways, I'm quite happy about the sale because I've made enough for my upcoming "business" trip and I'm hoping to be able to buy some new items for the shop. I've got to get this sale completed so i can move on to my other points on my to do list...also some secret..new products to be added to the shop... more to come!!

Hope everyone has a great week ahead!!

Working on Digital Collage Sheets

Happy Easter to you guys out there...I know I am a day late with my greeting. Its because here in the Philippines, Monday is still a holiday and I am still on holiday mode!!!

I have been busy working on my digital collage sheets. I've listed a few already so you can check them out in my etsy shop...

I have a cute tag, label or stick sheet that says handmade with love....
The default background color for the tag is hot pink but when you purchase the sheet, i can customize the background color to your liking..just make sure to message me or to write it in the note to seller.

I also have a Japanese Chiyogami type pattern collage sheet in circles great for bottlecaps and round bezels....they are available in 30mm, 20mm or 15mm sizes.

and here's what it would look like on a round ring bezel...pretty sweet!!!

Another collage sheet of pretty patterns in aqua/green-blue colors...reminds me of the ocean during summers...

Here are some samples on brass settings....

And last...a lovely collage sheet of vintage women ...this time by John Godward. It is available in 30x40mm ovals as well as 18x25mm ovals...
And this is what it would look like in a setting...

The vintage Godward Ladies is yet to be posted in my etsy shop but the others are already available!!! This week, I'm hoping to actually make a few resin pendants from these sheets. However, I don't know if i will be able to since I am attending a ceramics class too!!!

I am super excited about it. It only meets for 6 sessions so I'll be done in two weeks.I'm not sure if we will be able to create any pieces that we want or if we are bound to stick to whatever the instructor tells us to make (pottery? vases?) Hopefully, we can deviate from the norms and go with what we feel like making...for me, jewelry pieces!!! Anyway, hopefully i'll get to post pictures of it in the coming days!!!

Well..I hope you had a great Easter weekend! I sure did, lounging around with the hubby and the doggie-baby!!! Now, its back to work!

Custom Bezels

So..here's the newest in my shop...custom bezels....

Most of them will be made to order and you can customize what colors you want. They're handmade from polymer clay with an inset of 18 x 25 inch. Great for graphic pendants or decorating with your own clay creations. Here are some closeups...

Focals from Scrap Clay

I've been wanting to try to make beads from my scrap clays ever since I saw Artybecca's tutorial/demonstration on flicker (click here to see it)

I finally got a chance to make a couple of focals...here's the first...

I think I went a little crazy on the highlights with the inka gold...you can't really see the original colors anymore... but I still like it.

I'm selling it as part of a bead soup... You can see it in my ETSY listing here - Pharoah's Gem Mix

Here's the second one I worked on...

This one I have not yet listed but will definitely make it also into a bead soup mix...watch out for it.

That's all for now.
