RESIN JEWELRY WORKSHOP

I finally had my first RESIN JEWELRY WORKSHOP...and ooh i sure did enjoy it!!! I got to meet some great ladies..Inah and Lizanne!

I setup our small area in my little apartment the night before...

I started the workshop with a bit of background on resin and its uses...they were happy about the workshop notes that i prepared and the kit...i loaded up the kit with more than usual since these are my first workshop takers... including take home plastic holders, 3 different molds they can use and an assortment of bezels, settings and bottlecaps.

The resin that i included in their kit were also completely theirs to take home. I used separate resin during the workshop for them to practice on...this was a freebie for them for being my first workshop takers..

After the short background, it was time for mixing. We did casting in the morning...leaving some of the pieces unfinished for a second pouring...
After lunch the ladies worked on the images they would be adding to their bezels and settings... we were more serious at this time...quiet and busy working...

Here are some of their work.....

I asked them to suggest things for my future workshops and i am thankful for their ideas. I will be adjusting the next workshop according to some of their ideas. I think in the next workshop, i will be concentrating on more settings and bezels and having specific projects scheduled for the attendees.... I will also have a way for them to carry their finished (but drying) resin pieces much safer and easier, especially for those that would be commuting.

Here are some of the pieces i did a demo on during the workshop....

I never knew how satisfying a workshop can be...although at the end of the workshop, i was quite exhausted..mostly from the heat that day. I can't wait to schedule the next one!!!

Thank you so much ladies for a great day!!!
