Second, I want to share with everyone the new Polymer Clay Guild here in the Philippines...Officially called Philippine Polymer Clay Guild ...

We are starting our first group event...our Black and White Bead Swap which starts tomorrow and ends June 30th. So, the big reveal will be on July 1st. I'm already planning out a few designs that I will be doing...

For now, however, U haven't been in the mood to make beads. Instead, I felt like making something cute....so I came up with my polymer clay creature, Henry...

Isn't he a cutie!!! He reminds me of a hippo.... I think I need to make more poly clay creatures!

Getting some work done

Finally getting some work done. Been looking after my little Charley puppy...every week he's getting his vaccines and medicated bath and every time, he seems to be lethargic. This week, though, it passed pretty quickly and he is up and about! So, the worried mommy that I am was able to relax a bit and get back to finishing some of the beads I started. Today I got to hand painting a few of them...and I liked how they turned out...

My favorite is the one most to the right...the blue one. The color is really pretty and I think if I give it a gloss, it may look like a ceramic piece. I'm thinking of giving TLS a try (transluscent liquid sculpey) for a glaze. I'll have to stop by the craft store sometime tomorrow.

As for the pendant swap, I'm still waiting for one more pendant to arrive via mail. It's on the way and should be here pretty soon. Once I have all of them, I'll be able to finally post pictures!!! Hopefully next time we can have more people joining. It would be exciting to have a bead soup party too just like Lori from Pretty Things hosts. She will have another party in August sometime and I am definitely signing up!!! Meanwhile I would like to have a local one too...will have to put some thought into it and maybe ask Ms. Lori for some input (I'm quite shy to ask though). 

I've  joined a local group for polymer clay enthusiasts and artist on facebook (Polymer Clay People Philippines). It just started and there's been a lot of interaction so, it's a lot of fun. It may be great to have all sorts of activities like swaps, giveaways, inspirational challenges with prizes (prizes can be donated and then the person donating can get a week exposure on the group), blog hops.... lots of potential here!

Anyway, the weather has been cooler the past few days since it has been raining here. Little Charley is really loving it and has been getting really comfortable in his crate....

Aww, what a sweetie! I love this little puppy!

BTW....Distracted

As I mentioned in my previous post, we have a new puppy in the house and it has totally kept me distracted. I haven't been blogging or updating the shop...or crafting that much because I've been enamored by my little baby.

Today, I got back on the saddle and started working on a few things. I did some finishing on a couple clay beads I had. I also took pictures of some of my stone beads that I want to get posted online. So, on my bead table this Wednesday, I have a bunch of my stones laid out and ready for a photo session...

I have had a whole bunch of these assorted stones in my stash for a while now. They are unamed/unidentified. My supplier didn't exactly know what each were but I picked out some really pretty ones. I had plans to do some wire wrapping projects with them but have decided to put them up for destashing SALE!

Happy Easter Everyone

I just wanted to drop in and greet everyone a Happy Easter. I need to get cracking on my pendants for the Soaking in the Summer Swap that I'm hosting. They have to be sent out by Friday...However, something new has been keeping me busy and I'd like to show you my Easter Surprise from hubby....

Meet my Charley....

He's my 11 week old golden retriever...and I love him! What a sweetheart! We got him yesterday...he slept straight through the night in his new crate without even whine or yelp...and he didn't even have an accident inside his crate...what a good boy!
