Kumihimo Crazee!!

I am soooo excited about the new items in my shop...KUMIHIMO DISKS!!! I have 2 kinds of disks available now...
the round one...

and the square one but i don't have a picture for that yet...

I also have some very nice cotton thread cords for beautiful kumihimo creatios lie these bracelets ...

here is what it looks like closeup...

I have the materials needed to complete a bracelet like the ones above...

I used these cotton cords (double up to make each strand thicker)...just look at the all colors i have available... YUMMY!!!

Of course...you would also need end cord caps... for now i just have this one kind available...in 3 sizes
cords that will fit 6mm, 8mm and 11mm cords..

and finally you would need locks to finish up your bracelets...here are a few cute toggle locks...
flowers..

and here are some heart toggle locks ...perfect for valentines...

don't forget your other findings such as headpins or eyepins and jumprings...
and of course the glue to secure your end caps (I use either e-6000 or a two part epoxy glue which i like because it dries much faster!!)

When you have all these supplies..you can sit yourself down and ease into the rhythmic, relaxing braiding sessions of the Japanese art of braiding...Kumihimo!!!

Have Fun!!!

New Year Late Post..and Upcoming Plans

I'm posting this pretty late as it is already the 17th of January but here goes...HAPPY NEW YEAR BLOG-SPHERE!!!

I don't have any excuses for neglecting this blog. December was quite hectic with my nephew's wedding,

the holidays and my December bazaars....

January was not any different. I had to catch up with taking inventory of my stocks..

and launching of a New Year's sale ..

to liquidate some of my inventory....lots of packing and taking pictures....of beads....

cutie charms...

flowery cabochons...

colorful rainbow cabs

felt cloth...

which is still on going until this Friday.

Lots of orders to fill and pack up.

So, I don't know if that is enough excuse for my readers but...i anyways, i deeply apologize!

I'm really hoping for another good year...already, i have new items in line...
like the pompom/tassle maker....

daisy cord/yarn flower maker loom...

I'm adding a whole new line of handmade embellishments like ribbons and handmade crochet flowers...

i have limited pieces of lovely filigrees...

and a whole bunch of new charms..

I'm planing on my workshop for February and some new kits so people can try out new crafts. I'm waiting for a package to come early in the year that will have a lot of new findings and settings. I also want to get the website up to date so people can actually see my complete list of what i have to offer and start placing their orders there.

And my biggest plan...to set up the house so i can start allowing people to come visit me so they can browse and buy here at my own home...

I hope it all goes well.
What's your new year's plans?

Hello Again Blog

It has been months since I've written a blog post and I really feel bad that I have neglected this blog. It has been a busy couple months and things have not slowed down yet. After the big last quarter sale i had, quite a lot of new things have come along. In October I went to Hong Kong on a purchasing trip with my sister and we sure had a great time. I've been to HK a few times already and have fallen in love with all the beads and findings they have to offer. There are pretty metal components...

Pretty filigrees...big....

medium...

and small...
I bought earring settings....(and pendant settings which i still haven't photographed)...

Ring Filigrees....

Cute charms of all sorts...

Filigree hair pins...

My almost sold out hole punchers...should've bought more of these!!!

And lastly...lovely flower beads....

Oh it sure was bead shopping heaven...and although I want to keep it all for myself...i have already uploaded a lot of the items for sale in my facebook shop here -
http://www.facebook.com/earthlyjewelsbeads?ref=tn_tnmn

Last few travels i did to HK, i stayed at guest houses..but this time I thought i'd "live it up" and stay at a better, more upscale hotel..The Rosedale Hotel...and the extra bucks spent was definitely worth it!!! And here is my little "take home gift to self" .... my newest Kokeshi/ Kimmi doll...meet Kimmi Jr "Lotti"
I try to buy a Kimmi doll everytime i go...just as a remembrance.

I also joined a bazaar and it was a blast..but more on that on my next post.

I'm hoping to be able to post more often now but that may not become a reality because its just gonna get busier with my nephew's wedding which will be in a few weeks, Christmas shopping and another bazaar in the works... well, let's see how it goes...

Hope you are all ok out there and are still around to read my blog...please do leave me your comments :-)
