Feature Friday: Simply Amazing

Today, I spent my Friday in a coffee shop relaxing and surfing the internet. My latest interest is clay....more specifically cold clay or also called cold porcelain. I saw a few beautiful pieces of jewelry made of this material and it got me searching for DIY recipes online.

However, amongst my search, I found a truly amazing artist, Ms. Marina Bychkova, who creates the most wonderful, amazing dolls! Although, the materials used for her creations are not cold clay but resin, porcelain or polymer clay.

The images of her dolls shown here are from her blog - http://www.enchanteddoll.com/blog/
where you can find more details about the dolls she has created and more.

She also has a website:
where you can see a beautiful gallery of her creations, jewelries, doll accessories, doll info such as her doll process, customizing orders, contact info.

Ms. Marina gave her dolls identity by naming them after Paul Gallico's fictional, short story called "Enchanted Doll" where a woman makes dolls that enchant people at first sight with their life like beauty and details. I must say, Ms. Marina's Enchanted Dolls has more than surpassed that goal!

The features of her dolls are astoundingly realistic and each is very detailed from the features of the face,

to the anatomically correct body parts,

and ornate body art/tatoos!

However, she even goes beyond that by giving her dolls intricate accessories such as ornate jewelry and luxuriously beautiful garments and gowns.

And if you are lucky enough to have one of these dolls, don't forget to get one of these gorgeous tins to keep them in

Each doll is dreamy and you can ask for certain customization such as skin tone, lip color, hair color, freckles, etc.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do an interview with the artist. However, I did find a previous interview in PopCultureOfDestruction's blog - click here to get more info on Ms. Marina and her beautiful creations.

Right now, Ms. Marina is not taking new orders because she is preparing for upcoming shows. Until that time, I hope I can save up to order my very own!

Preparing raffle entries

I was quite excited to see a few more people entering my raffle. There's still about 8 days to go and so far I have already 61 comments.

So, today, I decided to go through the comments and list them out on excel for valid entries. Some of the comments there are considered as two entries...like if you follow my blog and posting the giveaway on your fb status. Those automatically are considered as two entries each. However, sometimes, people just leave one comment. So I went through each one and listed the name on one column (of excel) and on the next column, what the entry is for. If it is for a double entry, I list the name twice.

With this list, its actually easier to see the entries properly. Once I get the random number from the generator, I can go to the row number and see who the winner is. However, before I declare the winner, I would check if it is an actual valid entry. For example, if it says that they are a FB friend, I'd go and check it. If it is in fact valid, then a winner will be declared. If it is not, I would generate a new number until there is a valid entry.

I'm quite excited about this raffle...since it is my first one. Here's what my list looks like so far

There are 64 total entries so far!!!! If you haven't joined yet....click here and join right away!!!

Feature Friday: Christmas is in the air

It's a rainy morning again! Dark and gloomy yet, I am enjoying the fresh cool winds blowing through my windows. Ahhh...it's starting to feel like Christmas.

The other day, I was in the mall looking at the Christmas trees and decors being set up. I love the holiday season and this year, I am planning to really decorate our new apartment. About three years ago, my mom passed away on December 23rd. Ever since then, me and my family really haven't been decorating much. My mom loved decorating during the Christmas season and so I decided, this year, I will snazz up the house with pretty red decors..in remembrance of my mom!

So on to my first feature Friday....since I am in the mood for Christmas, I wanted to feature an artist that creates handmade Christmas ornaments. I found a great shop that has really wonderful ornaments...

So for Feature Friday, here is

The wonderful ornaments at Petalbelles are hand created by Ms. Henrietta. Making these little dolls started out as a hobby for her back in 2008. She developed her technique in creating her product, incorporating her love for paper crafts into her work and joined Etsy in April 2009.
Ms. Henrietta gets a lot of her inspiration from art in vintage children's books, children's catalogs and colors & designs of Japanese papers.
She also has cake toppers, framed princess doll wall art in whimsical shadowboxes, and dolls on small wooden stands. The best part, you can ask for a custom order like if you want your doll to have a specific hair color.
Do visit her etsy shop - click here to see the rest of her beautiful ornaments and dolls. Or visit her here for more information:

I love all of them! Aren't they just so lovely!
Happy Feature Friday!!!

Beautiful New Beads

I've been so excited about these new beads that I found! I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to take photos of them but I look at them every night. I've been trying to decide if I should sell them in my shop as separate beads or use them to create new items. I'm having a hard time either way because I absolutely love them and do not want to part.

They are high gloss ceramic beads. Since I got a lot per design, maybe I could spare a few.... Take a looksie....

These are only a part of the beads I got lately. Aren't they gorgeous??? I could stare at them all day!!!

I am putting a few up for sale but at my multiply site - here. Send me a message if you are interested. I can send a paypal bill. International orders are accepted!!!
