Resin Test

My stocks of resin are still waiting to be posted. My supplier still hasn't stocked their 20ml bottles so I can't repack the hardening glaze yet...so whilst waiting, I decided to play around with some of my old stock. I poured them into some molds that i had, mixed in some glitters, waited a day and viola...out popped this really pretty cabochons...here's the loot....
They're really hard to photograph..you just can't capture the beauty of the swirls inside the resin...so pretty! I will definitely need to play around with the lighting for this...here are some closups
Blue square cabochons with lots of swirlies...

violet swirls in teardrop shapes...

These ones I really really love...they look like they have gold speckles inside...

Pink love!!!

I do not need polish the front part (where the resin touched the mold) to make them clearer and shinier.. But otherwise, I think they turned out real nice...

  1. Pretty!

I have some of the same molds at home. This makes me want to start playing with resin again. :)
